ENDNOTES / TRACE THE CLAIM

The few facts carrying most of the weight

This chapter lists the few facts the rest of the guide leans on most. Under each one is a link to the government page it comes from.

SEARCH→CHECK→CARE

The category fact

“Peptide” is a science word, not a legal category. Whether something is approved, or legal to get, has to be checked one product at a time.

The compounding fact

Every made-to-order (compounded) medicine is unapproved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), even when a licensed, well-run pharmacy makes it for a real patient.

The California fact

As of September 2026, remote care for a person in California requires the treating doctor to hold a California medical licence.

The shortage fact

As of September 2026, the national semaglutide-injection and tirzepatide shortages are over; a local out-of-stock message is not the same thing as an FDA shortage listing.
